On 17th of October 2021 at 19:00 in the CCC Jordanki we can see Alicja Majewska with a unique concert program on the occasion of International Day of Older Persons, at the same time promoting the album entitled “Żyć się chce”.
The artist will be accompanied by the composer, pianist and accompanist, who works with her on a permanent basis and at the same time the author of the music of most of her songs, celebrating with the outstanding singer the “round jubilee” – Włodzimierz Korcz. In addition, the “Warsaw String Quartet”, accompanying them for 8 years, will appear on stage.
Alicja Majewska’s wonderful stage career lasts over 45 years. The first success in her solo career was in 1975 at the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole with the song “Bywają takie dni“. In the 1980s, Alicja Majewska was awarded many times at subsequent festivals in Opole. From the first performances, he has been invariably reigning in the hearts of Polish song fans. Recently, he has been experiencing a special period of stage activity. In 2013, she released the album “Piosenki, z których się żyje“, in 2016 “Wszystko może się stać“, and on 22nd of March 2019 “Żyć się chce“.
The album with the premiere material of Alicja Majewska is, as usual, a large-scale event. The icon of the Polish song in a typical way combines here constant cheerfulness with reflection on important matters. An appetite for life with regret and tears. Own sun with night and fog. After all, quoting a fragment of the title song: „rzeczy tylko dwie są trwałe – radość i ból istnienia”.
