Goran Bregović and the Wedding and Funeral Band will perform at the Cultural Congress Centre Jordanki on August 21, 2020 as a part of the Music Scene of the 12th Bella Skyway Festival.

Goran Bregović is undoubtedly one of the few artists who can use in their works a wide spectrum of styles and techniques without losing their own identity.

From 1974 to 1989 he played in one of the most popular Yugoslav ensemble, Bijelo Dugme. He established close cooperation with another resident of Sarajevo, a prominent film director, Emir Kusturica which resulted in such films as “Time of the Gypsies,” “Arizona Dream” and “Underground.” Bregovic’s music for the latter film received the 1995 Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival. The artist recorded with Iggy Pop and Cesaria Evora, Ofrą Hazą, Scott Walker, Gogol Bordello.

In Poland, extremely popular and appreciated for cooperation with Kayah, with whom he recorded such hits as “From your right to your left”, “It’s not a bird” or “A rose was I”. The album “Give me a second life” recorded together with Krzysztof Krawczyk with the unforgettable hit “My Friend” was also a great success.
